Director of Children & Youth Ministries
Saint Thaddeus Episcopal Church is seeking a faithful, creative, and driven individual to join us as we partner in ministry to love God, serve others, and live our faith. This position may also include teaching responsibilities at our prestigious and highly-ranked 3K-12th grade parish day school, Mead
Hall. The successful applicant can expect to work with a strong team of staff and volunteers at both the parish and the school. Applicants must be willing to work with a team, foster creativity, have a strong work ethic, and bring positive energy and commitment to this position. Membership in the Episcopal church is not required, though a knowledge of Episcopal church customs and beliefs or a willingness to learn them, is essential for success. The successful candidate will also be expected to attend worship at St. Thaddeus on a regular basis during the program year.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a robust and comprehensive children & youth ministry program at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, building on current success and working with devoted staff and volunteers.
- Create an environment where all people feel safe, welcomed, and loved.
- Work with the clergy and administrative staff to support parish life activities, worship, and formation.
- Under the supervision of the Associate Rector, recruit, train, and supervise acolytes.
- Connecting St. Thaddeus with Diocesan events and participation in mission trips is also expected.
- Working with a committed team of adult volunteers to support our Episcopal Youth Community (EYC).
